Oh no! My doll's neck broke (and how I fixed it)

  

Starting my first 2024 blog post with a misfortune. 

The plastic neck part of Volks MDD-III body broke from the tension. I have this body since 2015 when my friend helped to purchase directly from Volks Japan. I fix the body with my own custom DDH-01 and her name is Nayeon. Though she made her first debut in 2022 due to procrastination.

Attending : Animangaki 2016

The annual must-go ACG event has return. On 2016, it was held on 27th & 28th August 2016 , same venue , Sunway Pyramid Conventional Centre.

However, I'm going to write only the coverage of Dollfie Dream Malaysia display booth on the event itself. That's the main reason I went by the day.

Removing Dollfie Dream Doll's Stain Experiment

We all know that one of the cons owning  Dollfie Dream (DD) doll is staining problem. Compare to resin ball jointed doll, DD has vinyl surface which tend to get easily stain with clothe dye.

I hope everything goes well. I'm here to share my experience on attending the Dollfest Malaysia 2016 hosted by Malaysian doll owners.

This is the second year they hold the event. The first one was on 25th April 2015 in different venue. It was small meanwhile crowd was big. So that's an improvement when they held the event in Makespace.

Wee ~ another new addition in the family. I swore to myself not to collect odd size for my collection , but then,  look at me now, holding some tiny dolls. Argh!

I don't remember where I saw Kikipop first. Little did I know she is Japanese artist collaboration with Azone and some years ago, they stop the production and she became so expensive (like three times of her actual value).

During end of year 2015, Azone and Kinoko Juice has decided to re-release again the Kikipop. My friend who really wanted her, straightly hyped and did not hesitate to buy her.

A few months later, they came up with the new version, Romantic Frill Sugar.

I got poisoned (ﾉ_ _)ﾉ , so I shared with my boyfriend to buy her through a friend (which is also AmiAmi.com dealer).

I've been bean boozled !

Finally, I bought this old things-to-do in local imported chocolate store with price RM29.90. It's the Bean Boozled by Jelly Belly.

What's special about these jellies among other jelly beans, they have paired same colour but with two different flavours. One is the nice and another is disgusting.

Exciting, right? I've seen a lot people done this challenge on Youtube and I would love to try too :3
So, I invited my boyfriend to take the challenge together. ♡

Watch me Unboxing Gudetama Cafe Re-MeNT / ぐでたまカフェ リーメント [Review]

Oh lookie ! What I got here. It's my first Re-MeNT and it's the new sensation character from Sanrio, Gudetama / ぐでた! (or the egg dude, some people called him) There are more Re-Ment Gudetama series, mine one is called Gudetama Cafe / ぐでたまカフェ. It's a series of food sets with Gudetama on them because he's an egg, lol.

I bought this at local shop in my area named XL-Shop, it has both physical and online store. The online store link is : XL-ShopDotcom . I got Gudetama Cafe for RM128 . Hehe, Re-MeNT is not cheap even they came is small sizes, about 1/6 or 1/12 scale.

Miku's Worst Trip Ever !

This is a story of my bad experience on international delivery with my local mail service, Pos Malaysia / Pos Laju. It's my first time to send out parcel outside Malaysia and I had bad time due to inconsiderable authorities and my own careless.

I sold my Dollfie Dream Hatsune Miku to a Brazilian lady. She paid me in layaway and once completed  , I packed her and hand her on the delivery center on 13th March 2015. I was using Express Mail Service (EMS) , so the timeline to get to her is within 1 week+

The shipping fee is pricy, it's like 1/3 price of the doll value itself. The buyer requested me to put under value / gift on description to avoid the Customs tax. Thus, I wrote Doll / Gift and did not declare the value of item at all (this is the bad mistake). 

Surprisingly, my first timer experience was taken advantage when the Pos Laju staff did not remind me to complete the form (I don't even know that is my responsible to make sure the form complete) and just let my parcel pass through.

Crobidoll Haul #1 Review

Soooo... I decided to host a Group Order (GO), it's my first time for doing GO!
Wigs for Chiyo is one of my doll plan this year and the time has come for me to get for her (..or she'll get mad :p)

These was a quite long hold GO due to lack of participants, around 1 month half - 2 month. In beginning , the GO hostesses have 2 person but then retreated, and so along 1 participant. Thus, only me left and I was lucky to have 2 kind person to join my mini GO.

The GO was a success. Crobi does reply Q&A quick within 24 hour and once you confirm your order with payment, surprisingly they e-mail me on the same day, my order was on shipping already. (ﾉ≧∀≦)ﾉ (what a quick service ! and luckily the items are in the stock) I was so excited to have this speedy service since we all know, deep inside we are all impatient to receive the item we order.

Review : Mako Eyes

This is a quick review. Actually, I received these eyes like few weeks ago, but now I managed to complete a good report of it. ┐(‘～`；)┌

Warning : My camera doesn't provide me very good macro pictures. So, there are non good quality pictures included.

I joined a local group order (GO) for Mako Eyes (www.makoeyes.com) to save of shipping fee. Plus, I really wanted to get new eyes for Chiyo.

Take a note that this is my first eyes purchase, I was fortunate to found someone did the GO and Makoeyes received good feedback on their eyes. Even the price isn't bad, it's 25USD each pair.

I purchased 2 pair of eyes which are :

*I requested AM-016 without the glitters due to my personal perception,
glitters aren't natural.

The eyes arrived on 15 March 2014.  The eyes took 2-3 weeks to ship. Quite sometime, I guess they don't have ready stock, eyes made based on order received.

Once I got home, I took some quick pictures and do the comparison.
