Not So Little Doll Haul + Review [Edited 9.11.2014]

I've been busy lately and bitten by procrastinator bug. (=A=") Thus, I would like to share you my shopping haul. I received all of them officially on 5 October 2014.

Most of the items are accessories for my dollfie dream doll, however any SD / medium size doll can share this size.  Let's take an overview on what I purchase and where are they from.

These are wigs from Pengin Workshop which based in China. These are synthetic mohair wigs. I had a friend who bought from before and she gave a good recommendation as they are flexible to style on. I decided to purchase them when they had promotion free delivery for over 2 wigs purchase. Therefore, I joined the group order. Based on their packaging and little text, I believed the owner is cute person.


Meanwhile, these are from my Tabao order and handmade clothe from a friend. I waited around 2 months to received them thru my Tabao agent. The breakdown item shop as below :

• Shoes, thigh-high sock, skirt from Sunny World Tabao
• Kimono from my friend's shop, Hina Garden

First thing first, the Pengin Workshop wigs ! I purchased 2 wigs + extra 1 extra hair clip. They are :

The wig is extra soft compare to normal synthetic wig and it has fine hair strands. The thickness is ok and does not bald out exposing head cap. However, the wig tend to fall hair whenever I comb but it still does not affect much the wig consistency. Price wise is consider cheap :) as normal wig will cost me 25usd ++

Moving on to Kaleidoll wigs. Well, I got good recommendation on these shop from my friends who collected Dollfie Dream doll. So, I wanted to experience myself. Please be remind they only sell SD wigs which in range 8"-9" only.

Most people love taking straight wigs as they manageable, on the other hand I like curly wigs. Curls are beautiful from my eyes but with huge problem, the messiness and the difficulties to comb.

I like live dangerously (LOL most of wig collection either wavy / curly). Therefore, I bought 2 wigs which I thought would suitable fit Misa. ( I do not like her on bright wig such blonde)

Left wig : -Kaleidoll- Sweet Series KWSS-05

Right wig : -Kaleidoll- Pure Series  KWPS-04 - Mocha

(both of them cost around 20usd each)

The moment I open the package,  the wig has funny smells. LOL. I do not know it came from the production or they sprayed some perfume. As I expected, both wigs are messy as tangled earphone wires.

Yet, KWPS-04 - Mocha has the worst coarse hair ever. These wigs softness are not as good as korean wigs I have. (Crobidoll, Leekeworld). In term of colour difference, it is not bad. Let's take a look :

Those puffy buns are not easy to maintain look good in photo. Haha!
The twin buns are not detachable, so need to handle them with care

This wig make Misa looked tender, but you never know how sweat enough I need to keep the hair neat and non puff

Even though the wigs' feel is rough, I still keep them, because I believe as time goes with frequent usage, the wild wig will be tame. Overall, here's my rating for Kaleidoll wig :

(I like how they look suitable for Dollfie Dream, however I find shoulder length hair is shorter (like too short from my likeness) when compared to shop's picture (I saw my friend has one)

Next, I present to you my talented friend who working together with her family to sew beautiful kimono series. Credits to her mother. She together with her friend to form creative group called Hina Garden.
Besides tailoring, she also do face up and she just started to working on Dollfie Dream doll, since previously she used to do for BJD.

I bought this on layaway for 3 months for 86usd (she is kind to accept my long layaway _:(´□`」 ∠):_ She was promoting her kimono during Animagaki 2014 (anime & comic convention). So, I got caught up and bought this pretty piece.

She did amend the kimono before passing to me because her doll body was different type from mine. Her doll has big hips, so she adjusted the belt length. (How thoughtful) I completed the payment on early October 2014.

Final item is the animatic eyes from White Dollfie Story ! This brand is famous among Dollfie Dream doll owners. Though, I have not (as far as I acknowledge) to see this eyes from my eyes. The website shown pretty good display & recommendation from doll friend made me decided to have them.

I honestly don't like default Misa eye, which is green colour. I want her to have such blue , red or pale grey. However, my fund resource only allowed me to have 2 eyes only. I'm not sure the eye size though, but I refer to her company description, she has 22mm eyes. Each eyes cost me around 15usd, pricey for acrylic eyes.

 I bought the animatic eyes Type B - Steel Blue Twilight & Type E - Rose. The eyes colour is more radiant from the shop photo. These eyes actually has glitters on them (printed on glitter paper, perhaps). The glitter does not shown much on photo but you can see it clearly on bare eyes.

Edit : The Type B - Steel Blue is Twilight in colour. Not Steel Blue as mentioned. I found out because I did comparison with my friend who purchased the Steel Blue colour

 Both eyes look fine, but I prefer the blue over the red. I still think Misa need new face up, especially on the eye line. The shop has same mold as Misa but her eyes look circle from different face up, which make the eyes look suitable for her.

Overall, I love the eyes but just wish them without the glitter. I'm a girl but glitter is not my fancy.
