Review : Volks Kuonji Alice's Penguin Costume

I noticed on this costume from a friend of mine, who wore it on his Dream Dolfie doll at Comic Fiesta 2013.
I can't help but that is the most cutest thing I ever saw! However, I didn't get the chance to hug it) T~T

One fine day, on 6th February 2014, a friend of mine in facebook posted that she buying the penguin costume. I was surprise the costume re-sell again. It's a limited Volks item. Without any hesitation, I went to the website and bought it. I was in tight budget but I feel I can't miss, if not buy now, when it's going to sell again?

Thus I purchased the costume with price 13,936 yen (include tax, fee & delivery). Original price is 11,340 yen (include fee). I paid using Paypal.
Volks delivers their item within 1 week, and I got mine on 18th February 2014.

*knock-knock* Parcel arrived on my office :3 and I'm unboxing at home.

*Warning* : Post filled with images load inside!

It came with brown box, costume is in the plastic, wrapped in pale brown wrapping paper, and invoice of purchase.

I'm home, tadahhh!

So this the overview of the penguin soft, it's huge! Around 58cm, more like life-size of penguin. It's pefectly fit for Dolfie Dream dolls & SD13. You'll be glad to carry this while on movies, good pillow to keep you warm. :]

Not to mention a good protector for your dolls from impact and scratch.

The costume inside has some slim slender tuff pillow to keep the doll fit inside. There's is zip on the head to open the costume, the zip is normal (nylon coil) and small zip head. They should make it bigger and tougher because this kind of zip won't last long. I must very careful when opening and closing it.

The fur of costume, it's fluffy and soft, hug-able temptation. As the picture shown.
(So it is quite worth of money for the quality).

When I first open the costume, it filled with small thread/fur, I thought it's the fur fell off, but it's not. I'm not sure where it came from, maybe while they sewing the sponge inside it. It messed the penguin's beak too, since white thread on black, it looked so obvious. I had to sweep off before fitting in my doll inside.

Oh, there a hook on the penguin head, made from iron wrapped in black clothe. I'm not sure what's it's for. It's not strong enough to hook up the penguin on anything, especially if you fit in the doll inside. Perhaps, for the hair antennae/ahoge?

I don't have SD size / Dolfie Dream doll to fit in the costume.
So, I used Chiyo (she's MSD size) to see how's she look. photo A.gif

Well, she seems not impressed.

Chiyo : Miko-sama, wh-what is this? What have you done to me?

Miko :It's a penguin costume, I just bought from Japan ^-^

Chiyo : I know! B-but why you put this on me?! This is embarrassing.

Miko : You don't like :< I thought it's look cute on you. I believe people will tend to hug you more with this penguin suit.

Chiyo : Remove this instantly! I'm a princess, not a piece of joke material.

Miko : No, I plan to keep you this way. *Takes some photograph*

Chiyo : Noo..! Wait until I find the zip, you'll done. *rustle*rustle* Here it is !! *unzip*

Miko : - Swifts away -

P/S : Chiyo MSD sized could fit in the costume, however due to her small head,
its hard to hook on the penguin's mouth and she tend to get pulled inside.
Oh, the wigs looks horrible after I pulled out the doll out.
